We're seeking a hybrid designer/frontend developer to join our small multidisciplinary team, producing engaging, visually appealing, and interactive websites for a diverse range of clients. The role requires a high level of technical and design expertise, from initial briefing to production.
You will create well-executed design mock-ups and develop effective, attractive, and accessible responsive web interfaces.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in early-stage idea generation and planning
- Building UX prototypes
- Designing intuitive user interfaces in Figma
- Developing interactive and accessible web front-ends using modern web technologies
- Creating custom WordPress themes and components for server-side and client-side JavaScript environments
- Finding innovative solutions to client problems from design to technical implementation
- Collaborating with project managers to understand client needs
Skills & experience required:
- Strong experience in digital design or front-end development
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma/Sketch, Photoshop)
- Good knowledge of UX/UI best practices
- Excellent understanding of HTML and CSS
- Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript and DOM frameworks
- Experience with git
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Ability to visualize original designs based on client briefs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Interest and active engagement with AI solutions

- Initial discussion with our People Coordinator to learn about the role and introduce ourselves
- Interview with our Lead Developer and Head of People focused on experience and competency questions (can be in-person or online)
