The primary responsibility of the Transportation Digital Delivery Services Senior Advisor is to plan, lead and deliver Enterprise Digital Delivery Services projects on-time and on-budget for transportation clients. Typical tasks on advisory projects include, but are not limited to preparing gap assessments, developing digital delivery and open data standards, drafting strategic and detailed implementation plans for enterprise digital delivery deployment for Transportation agencies, planning and facilitating workshops, and leading and/or assisting on national and state applied research projects related to digital delivery. The Transportation Digital Delivery Services Advisor works in a team environment with other digital delivery advisors specializing in various disciplines.
Primary tasks for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting project managers with technical updates to help manage the budget, schedule and quality of deliverables
- Leading technical teams, preparing detailed tasks to be carried out to meet project objectives and deliver required products, and/or reviewing technical deliverables
- Carrying out specific tasks to meet project objectives and deliver required products based on technical expertise
- Actively participating in industry organizations representing HDR on industry committees, such as the Transportation Research Board (TRB), buildingSMART, or AASHTO
- Collaborating with internal HDR business and project teams
- Serving as technical liaison with clients and internal HDR teams
- Supporting marketing efforts, identify opportunities and lead or support pursuit proposal and interview efforts
Preferred Qualifications - Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work under time pressure
- Working knowledge of different software development processes related to digital delivery for the highway market
- Strong communication, technical writing and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experienced in the use and creation of industry standards focused on digital delivery
- Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the highway market
- P.E. license
- Experience with developing and implementing openBIM workflows using buildingSMART International standards and services
- Technical skills to implement open data standards at a major program or enterprise level leveraging international best practices - including development of data dictionaries, information delivery manuals, and information delivery specifications.
- DOT and local government experience and relationships
- Experience in preparing presentations and technical proposals
- Developing and conducting training programs for model-based digital delivery
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field
- A minimum of 15 years as a consultant and extensive related experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
