Digital Cutting Table Operator - Winston-Salem, NC

Summary:

The Digital Cutting Table Operator position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the digital cutting table(s) during their scheduled shift.

The opportunity:
  • Provide subject matter expertise about the digital cutting table equipment and its operation including the front-end workflow management application (RIP).
  • Communicate the digital cutting table's capabilities and limitations to internal and external customers, as needed.
  • Stage/stack cut work for downstream activities according to the established requirements.
  • Work with prepress or shift supervisor to ensure the accurate placement and implementation of required digital cutting paths.
  • Manipulate cutting paths when necessary and make changes in work order.
  • Make necessary machine adjustments and provide routine maintenance assistance.
  • Assist in the direction of helpers assigned to them to assist with workload.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality procedures and quality checks are followed.
What you need to succeed:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong understanding of digital graphics production and digital graphic file formats. The position requires excellent computer system operation skills with some background in desktop publishing for graphic arts applications, basic mechanical ability, and familiarity with common production materials.
