We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Test Automation Lead to join the Enterprise Automation team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our pharmaceutical software products across the enterprise. You will lead automation testing efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams globally. You should have hands on technical experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Mabl, Cypress, Playwright, etc. and a high technical learning agility. This role often includes tasks requiring strong programming, proficiency with software testing standards and best practices, infrastructure activities, and continually researching and applying the newest technologies to test engineering.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Test Automation Lead is a global role responsible for engaging customers of our automated software testing framework across Lilly's organization and enabling end-to-end testing of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) as well as custom developed software including both web applications and native apps. The primary focus is to help our customers adopt automated testing practices as part of their software development lifecycle. In this role you will support the process and products used as part of the automated testing framework. You will also champion test automation across the enterprise to engage customers, increase automated testing usage, and help create metrics that demonstrate the business value of test automation. This will be a cross functional role, partnering with Information Security, Quality, and other functional areas to drive change.
Responsibilities:
- Evangelize and help to implement a Test Automation Strategy that enhances test execution/test coverage and consistency of different types of testing included but not limited to regression, BDD, integration, unit, end-to-end testing
- Research and incorporate automated testing industry best practices and trends to support enterprise software test automations and products
- Showcase and assist application teams in adopting Test Automation to speed development and delivery of software solutions and the benefits of doing so
- Collaborate with Automated Testing Technical Leads and Architect, Application Teams, and Quality to develop test strategies, test cases, developing/driving the automated testing framework and processes
- Build inclusive relationships with our business partners across the enterprise to stress the importance of Test Automation best practices
- Consult with application teams about their Automated Testing Projects across the enterprise
- Develop, Maintain, & Deliver product roadmaps that will drive Test Automation at Lilly
What You Should Bring:
- Passionate about Agile and using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Be able to work within and across global teams; collaborating with people from different time zones, specifically Europe/India, and outside of direct organization
- Proven experience of articulating technical solutions to non-technical personnel
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer/AWS Certified Developer
- Azure Developer Associate Certified/Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions Certified
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years' programming experience (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, etc)
- Experience building and working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions and concepts
- 3+ years' experience designing, creating, and executing test automation solutions
- Experience working with Git, specifically working in a team which adopts modern GitHub practices (Git Flow, Actions, etc)
- 5+ years working in a software development team following modern software development practices (Testing, Code Reviews, Code Coherence, use of a multitude of frameworks/libs)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,750 - $145,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
