Job Description

Digital Content Manager

Are you someone who finds joy in diving deep into religious scholarship and then bringing those insights to life for a wider audience? We're looking for a Digital Content Manager who not only has a sharp eye for digital strategy and storytelling, but who also genuinely values religious education and academic study. In this role, you'll work with thoughtful, faith-based content-reading long-form articles and books by scholars and transforming them into engaging, accessible pieces for social media and other digital platforms.

What you'll do in this position:
  • Content Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with overall business goals and target audience.
    • Create and maintain a detailed content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely content delivery.
    • Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and optimize SEO.
    • Plan and execute content campaigns for product launches, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Content Creation & Management:
    • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality, engaging content for various digital platforms, including website, blog, social media, email, and video.
    • Manage content creation workflows, ensuring deadlines are met and content is delivered on time.
    • Source and curate relevant content from internal and external sources.
    • Oversee the creation of multimedia content, including images, videos, and infographics.
    • Ensure that all content is on brand and follows brand voice.
  • Social Media Management:
    • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
    • Manage and maintain social media channels, including content scheduling, community management, and performance analysis.
    • Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
    • Run paid social media campaigns.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze content performance metrics using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics).
    • Generate regular reports and provide insights to optimize content strategy and improve ROI.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and opportunities for content improvement.
    • Utilize google analytics and social media analytics platforms.
  • Brand Consistency & Collaboration:
    • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and voice.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product) to ensure content aligns with overall business objectives.
    • Stay up to date on the latest digital marketing trends and best practices.
What qualifies you for this role:
  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Four years of professional experience in digital content management or a related role.

Pay Grade: 52

Compensation Range

Actual compensation based on education and experience
$63,275.00 - $82,175.50
