Description

Scooter's Coffee is looking for a Digital Automation Manager with strong technical expertise. This role requires a hands-on builder who is comfortable working with APIs and automation frameworks to deliver seamless, scalable customer interactions. The ideal candidate thrives in technical problem-solving, is highly detail-oriented, and is eager to explore new ways to enhance engagement, retention, and loyalty through automation.?This role will report to the Director, Loyalty and CRM and will work across multiple marketing and company departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build, implement, and optimize API-based triggered campaigns, leveraging Braze's Connected Content and dynamic personalization functionality, in conjunction with an API-first offer management tool.?
  • Develop event tracking taxonomy and ensure accurate implementation of events, properties, and user attributes for Amplitude analytics.?
  • Manage and maintain the (future state) Braze Catalog to power the personalization engine and ensure seamless execution of automated experiences.?
  • Implement and refine API-based triggered campaigns across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging.?
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation workflows, API implementations, and lifecycle campaigns.?
  • Ensure data integrity by implementing validation protocols, monitoring data pipelines, and addressing inconsistencies.?
  • Oversee accurate event tracking by configuring and maintaining event schemas, ensuring proper tagging, and troubleshooting discrepancies.?
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to automation workflows, audience segmentation, and data inconsistencies.?
  • Stay up to date on partner roadmaps and feature releases, including upvoting future feature requests in the Braze dashboard.?
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support automation and lifecycle marketing initiatives.?
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and executing marketing automation, customer engagement workflows, and real-time personalization initiatives.?
  • Hands-on experience with Braze, Amplitude, Talon.One, or similar automation and customer engagement platforms.?
  • SDK-related knowledge for implementing tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, Power BI, etc. tracking on web or apps is a plus.?
  • Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools to validate and troubleshoot integrations.?
  • Expertise in designing and executing automated customer journeys, triggered workflows, and behavioral-based campaigns.?
  • Proficient in segmentation strategies, real-time personalization, SDK integration, and event-based automation.
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and data integrations for marketing automation.?
  • Experience troubleshooting and refining automation workflows, ensuring data accuracy and seamless execution.?
  • Proficiency with cloud-based marketing architectures and scalable automation frameworks.?
