Job Overview
Our Edgestone Team is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Diesel Sitdown Forklift Operator to join our Mansfield, MA location in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload products within the warehouse. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Monday-Friday 12:30pm to 8:30pm
Pay Rate: 19.50
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks or containers with precision and care.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor exposure to weather conditions.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Safety-sensitive position requiring awareness and adherence to all safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management processes.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely, including clamp trucks.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures at all times.
