Vander Haag's, Inc. has a great opportunity for an experienced
Diesel Service Technician (Diesel Engine Specialist) to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. Vander Haag's, Inc. offers:

At Vander Haag's, Inc., no two days are exactly the same. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of different heavy duty truck makes and models. General duties include:
- All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair
- Engine diagnostics and overhauls
- Drivetrain
- Electrical
- Engine removal & reinstallation
Hours: Day shift hours,
four days per week. Schedule can be set for Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
No evenings, weekends, or holidays required. Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation + overtime. Hourly rate will range from $35.00 - $42.00/hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications (e.g., ASE Certifications, etc.).
Tools: Vander Haag's offers flexible arrangements to assist you with the purchase of additional tools (if necessary). We also sell Milwaukee power tools right at our store locations.

This position requires 3 - 5 years previous experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair/reinstallation. Qualified candidates should have a broad range of experience with various diesel engine manufacturers including Detroit, Cat, and Cummins. Certifications for specific engine manufacturers is not required. ASE Certification is preferred, but also not required.
Compensation details: 35-42 Hourly Wage
