Bailey's Moving and Storage is a leading provider of full service moving and storage services. We are looking for an experienced and motivated shop foreman, to lead and manage our team of skilled technicians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Description:The Shop Foreman will oversee the daily operations of our shop, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, coordinating work schedules, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead the day-to-day operations of the shop.
- Coordinate the scheduling of work, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor and manage the performance of technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and to specifications.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies and parts.
- Enforce shop safety standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the production process.
- Maintain records of work performed, time sheets, and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with management to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members.
Qualifications:- Experience in a supervisory role within a shop.
- Required: Utah state heavy duty inspection license and a class A CDL
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with heavy duty tractors and trailers.
- Must possess a complete set of tools.
- Light duty license would be a plus, as well as any certificates for different training programs related to the field of work.
- Desirable candidates will have ASE certifications, diploma, or certificate from diesel technology programs.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Managerial experience is a plus.
