Are you an experienced imaging professional or a new graduate eager to gain valuable experience? UPMC Williamsport is looking for a Full time Diagnostic Technologist/Advanced Diagnostic Technologist to join our team. This role offers daylight hours, typically from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities during the week and on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging procedures independently using your judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Properly identify patients using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocols.
  • Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply specific departmental protocols for optimal results.
  • Document patient history in electronic records as required.
  • Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders/department policy.
  • Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation.
  • Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and documentation of image data.
  • Communicate instructions clearly and concisely to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate their fears and gain their cooperation.

Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Two years of Diagnostic experience is required.

Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on the most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography.

CPR or BLS Required. CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

  • ARRT Certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
