About the facility
A facility that is part of a larger health system is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the facility location
The facility is located in Indiana.
About the clinician's workday
This role primarily involves diagnostic imaging, including fluoroscopy and light interventional radiology (IR) procedures such as paracentesis (about 1 per day), thoracentesis (1 every other week on average), lumbar punctures (a few each week), and thyroid FNA/biopsies (1 per day). The position does not require an IR fellowship. The locum radiologist will initially read X-rays, ultrasounds, and perform fluoroscopy/IR studies, followed by CT/MRI if time allows. In-house radiologists prioritize stat cases from the ED and inpatient units. The patient volume is 70-100 exams per day, with RVUs ranging from 60-130, depending on the provider. The department is supported by leadership and PACS administration on-site, and the facility is a Level III trauma center.
