Devops Engineer with Security Clearance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and support CI/CD automation frameworks and secure infrastructure for Java and Python web applications across various environments, including local, remote, and air-gapped networks. This role involves collaborating with technical teams, troubleshooting complex systems, and driving full lifecycle DevSecOps processes to support mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure and services.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Automate infrastructure buildout using Ansible, Packer, and Terraform across VMWare, AWS, or Azure environments.
Ensure proper security measures and compliance across infrastructure.
Troubleshoot production issues and resolve system/network-related problems.
Collaborate with development teams to support containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
Lead small technical teams and contribute to project management tasks.
Support system architecture, deployment, and monitoring in a DevSecOps environment.
Provide operational support during demonstrations and other key events.
Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years of experience in automation and infrastructure build.
Strong experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Java, Python, Shell, Go, Perl, C ).
Configuration management expertise (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack).
Solid experience with Git, Nexus/Artifactory, and Linux systems.
Experience with VMWare infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN).
Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Security+ Certification (Must Have). Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud provisioning tools (Packer, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of application hardening and STIG compliance.
Understanding of authN/authZ frameworks and secure custom software stacks.
Background in systems integration and release engineering.
Network and firewall troubleshooting experience. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and initiative.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
