Your day as a DevOps Engineer As a Full-Time DevOps Engineer at Bill360 Inc, you will engage in a variety of impactful responsibilities that propel our organization forward. You'll actively participate in standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring smooth collaboration within the team. Your expertise will shine as you build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, while deploying scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure through automation.

Enhancing existing deployment processes and Infrastructure as Code scripts will be crucial to improving automation, efficiency, and security compliance. Additionally, you'll manage complex DevOps pipelines, oversee site stability, and troubleshoot across various environments. You'll also play a key role in developing operational practices, maintaining software configuration management systems, and ensuring best practices are documented and followed.

What matters most To excel as a Full-Time DevOps Engineer at Bill360 Inc, you will need a robust skill set aligned with modern software development and operational processes. Proficiency in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins is essential, along with experience in cloud infrastructure environments like AWS. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform, and containerization technologies such as Docker and ECS will enhance your contributions. You should be adept at YAML configuration management tools, including Helm and Ansible, and possess solid foundations in release automation, system administration, and configuration.

Bonus points will be awarded for demonstrated success in implementing logging, automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation in production environments using tools like CloudWatch, NewRelic, or Datadog. Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and platform vulnerability management is also highly beneficial. A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or 3-5 years in a related role will set you apart, particularly if you have strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2 and RDS.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • Designing and maintaining modern application CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps Jenkins)
  • Cloud infrastructure environments (AWS)
  • Designing and creating Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
  • Containerization of applications with Docker and clustering (ECS)
  • YAML configuration management tools (e.g. Helm, Ansible)
  • Release automation, system administration, system configuration and system debugging
  • Ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Documenting architecture, processes and procedures.
  • Setting up logging automated monitoring, alerting and remediation in a production environment (for example: CloudWatch, NewRelic, Datadog etc.)
  • Building and deploying a CI/CD pipeline in a production environment
  • Building, deploying, and monitoring Event driven architectures in a production environment
  • Building, deploying, and monitoring microservices in a production environment
  • Experience With platform and software vulnerability management. e.g Mend, Qualys, Sonar
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS EC2
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS RDS (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache)
