Position Overview

At Nuclearn, we are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer, with at least 3 years of experience, to join our growing team and play a key role in streamlining our software development lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the tools and processes that enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of our applications.

You must be a US citizen or permanent resident (e.g. green card holder) to be eligible for this position due to DOE Export Compliance requirements.

What you'll be doing

As a DevOps Engineer at Nuclearn, you will:
  • Leverage container based technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Podman
  • Design, develop, and implement DevOps tools and methodologies to automate software delivery and testing pipelines.
  • Provision, configure, and manage infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Implement and maintain configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Monitor system health and performance, identify and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Continuously improve DevOps processes to optimize speed, reliability, and security.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow within the company
  • Ability to contribute independently within 6 weeks
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, CI/CD).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Bonus qualifications (not required, but a plus)
  • Experience with machine learning and AI techniques
  • Cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management and patch automation
  • Test automation
  • Prior experience working in a startup environment
  • Knowledge of the nuclear or utility industries
Relevant Technical Skills

Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Proxmox, Cypress, Playwright, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Github, Github Actions.
