A fast-growing, global fintech company is looking for a Senior IT Systems Manager / DevOps Engineer to take a leadership role in designing, automating, and managing its cloud infrastructure. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology, helping to shape the infrastructure behind a high-volume, high-availability financial platform.
As part of a mission-driven team building a unified financial data layer for some of the world's leading institutions, you will play a critical part in ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency. This is a high-impact, senior-level position based in New York.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with engineering leadership.
- Automate deployment and operational processes using infrastructure-as-code and modern DevOps tools.
- Manage and monitor complex cloud environments, primarily on AWS.
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and capable of handling millions of transactions daily.
- Develop and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across production and staging environments.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps best practices and embed security early into the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to internal documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record managing scalable infrastructure for high-volume, mission-critical systems (5M+ daily transactions).
- Deep expertise in AWS ecosystem and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or Spinnaker.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes (CKA certification a plus) and container orchestration best practices.
- Strong scripting or coding skills (e.g., Python, Bash, YAML).
- Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and agile collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, including shift-left security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
