DevOps Engineer - Contract - Greenwood Village, CO - $55.00 - $63.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO.

Role Description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on DevOps (70%) with responsibilities in integration testing, QA, microservices validation, and API testing (30%). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Python, with experience in GitLab, CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, and various AWS services.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

• Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, EKS, Lambda, and load balancers.

• Implement containerization solutions.

• Optimize AWS costs and build dashboards in Splunk.

• Troubleshoot application-related issues and node-related problems.

• Work on automation and scripting tasks using Python.

• Integration Testing & QA (30%):

• Validate microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

• Perform API validation using tools like Postman and Swagger.

• Conduct metadata validations.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong experience in DevOps practices.

• Proficiency in Java (Version 21) and/or Python.

• Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, load balancers, Elastic Cache).

• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, NoSQL, MySQL).

• Experience with microservices architecture and API validation.

• Ability to work on dashboards and AWS cost optimization.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with Splunk for building dashboards.

• Knowledge of integration testing and QA processes.

• Familiarity with Postman and Swagger for API validation.
