Overview

Sedaro is hiring a DevOps engineer to build our culture of operational excellence. In this role, you will integrate CI/CD, security, and observability tools and automation for our Kubernetes-based multi-cloud environment, as well as rallying your teammates toward best practices.
  • Team: DevSecOps Enablement, reporting to the Director of Engineering
  • Location: In person in Arlington, VA
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required

What You'll Do
  • Optimize multi-cloud production infrastructure for security, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs
  • Drive automation through CI/CD and infrastructure as code
  • Build in security through automated detection of vulnerabilities
  • Lead incident response and organize blameless post-mortem discussions
  • Search out risks using chaos engineering activities
  • Coach operational and security best practices throughout the company
  • Foster Lean practices and a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture
  • Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability practices
  • Familiarity with security controls and vulnerability management
