Job Description: Position Summary
Guggenheim Securities Information Management ("GSIM") is seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Architect to join its Cloud Services team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Cloud Services this person will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive DevOps strategy. In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to collaborate with cross functional teams focusing on outstanding service quality & delivery.
The Cloud DevOps Architect role presents an opportunity to create a Cloud DevOps practice and deliver value to the business leveraging the Azure cloud platform. This position is in the Guggenheim New York city office.
Essential Job Functions
- Define the overall Azure DevOps vision, roadmap, and best practices for the organization, considering business requirements and future scalability.
- Building and maintaining automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including code quality checks, unit testing, and deployment processes.
- Creating and managing cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, & ARM templates to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud environments.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration between application development, IT operations, and other stakeholders to promote a DevOps culture.
- Implementing security measures within the Azure DevOps environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of Azure DevOps pipelines, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and application services.
- Expertise in Azure DevOps tools like Azure Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Azure Resource Manager.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are often preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the investment banking industry.
Work Location
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office Tuesday - Thursday.
Salary
- Annual base salary between $150,000 and $175,000.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
