Objective: Brownpreneurs is seeking a motivated and resourceful
Development Volunteer to support our efforts in securing funding for our programs and initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about youth entrepreneurship and skilled in networking, donor engagement, and fundraising strategies. The Fundraising Volunteer will help identify funding opportunities, assist with donor outreach, and support fundraising campaigns to further our mission.
Time Commitment: Based on projects, events and organizational goals.
Compensation: Unpaid (Volunteer)
Location: Hybrid (Primarily remote, with occasional in-person support needed for fundraising events in the St. Louis area).
Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and donor outreach initiatives.
- Research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Help draft grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and donor communication materials.
- Engage with supporters through email, phone, and social media to encourage donations.
- Assist in organizing fundraising events and ensuring a seamless donor experience.
- Track and maintain records of donations and fundraising activities.
- Work closely with the Brownpreneurs team to develop new fundraising strategies.
Qualifications & Skills: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience or interest in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing.
- Ability to research and identify funding opportunities.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable engaging with donors and community members.
- Passion for youth development, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit work.
