Role Purpose:

This is a new product testing role within the company, responsible for managing and executing the full lifecycle of test engineering-from defining test cases to developing test tools, executing tests, and managing facilities. The ideal candidate will have broad engineering knowledge, creativity, and drive.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze conformance specifications to derive test requirements.
  2. Plan, design, and communicate test cases to validate requirements across electro-mechanical systems for development and production phases.
  3. Design test jigs, harnesses, and software to execute test cases, including automation where appropriate.
  4. Implement data processing and filtering software to extract relevant results.
  5. Manage internal test facilities such as test tanks, ovens, pools, and lifting equipment.
  6. Coordinate with external test facilities (EMC, vibration, pools, etc.).
  7. Execute tests safely and in a controlled manner.
  8. Conduct fault finding and failure analysis.
  9. Document and present test results and findings.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a test-focused role or in test equipment development.
  • Proven experience in data capture and analysis.
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary systems (electrical, mechanical, software).
  • Experience within an engineering NPI environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of test equipment and platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with NPI design phases and working to design/system requirements.
  • Ability to generate test cases from requirements to verify and validate designs.
  • Experience with National Instruments test software platforms (LabVIEW, TestStand).
  • Hands-on experience with electronic circuit construction, testing, and diagnostics.
  • Innovative mindset with sound engineering principles.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of product certification, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in offshore and subsea industries is a plus.
  • Experience with control of National Instruments hardware and proprietary test equipment.
  • Proficiency in software programming/scripts (Python, C, C , C , VB, etc.).
  • Understanding of mechanical principles and applications.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and certification (CE/DNV).
  • Previous customer-facing experience is desirable.
