Role Statement:

The Development Sample Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Technical Design Team with management of all development samples. Accountable for all Administrative responsibilities regarding tracking and handling of all samples. Interfaces with all cross functional teams and global partners and ensures accurate record-keeping and attention to time-sensitive deliveries. Ensures all Development Samples are cared for and accounted for. Part-time in-house position.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track the status of all development samples
  • Ensure accurate and efficient management and organization of all documents related to development sample tracking
  • Facilitate sample loans for all Departments, keeping excellent record-keeping of the location and timing of sample loans.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse for management of all Keep Samples.
  • Unpack, Steam/Press, and Tag all in-coming and outgoing Development Samples.
  • Ensure all samples are clean and in good condition for future use and facilitate repairs or cleaning when necessary.
  • Point person for development sample transfers to/from Marketing for photoshoots or other marketing related needs in coordination Inventory operations Specialist
  • Manage In-House Keep Sample closets and facilitate End-of-Season rotation of samples to warehouse.
  • Receive and label all development samples, photograph, and upload information into various systems for future use by the Tech Design team.
  • Monitor Development timeline and calendar and interface with In-house and Overseas partners to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Manage Incoming and Outgoing Domestic and International shipments for the Production Room and help distribute items to the various teams.
  • Order Trunk Show Samples and follow status to ensure delivery by necessary deadlines
  • Allocate completed development samples to Inventory Specialist for distribution
  • Assist Technical Design Team with preparation of events, such as Market, Photoshoots, and Partner meetings.
  • Attend the milestone meetings when applicable.
  • Consistent/continuous prioritization of workload and tasks.
  • Manage weekly workload, keeping to following calendar deadlines.
  • All other duties, as assigned by the Technical Designers and Director.
  • Assist Inventory Operations Specialist receive, tag, and coordinate sample sales


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Must have strong organizational and self-management skills
  • Must be able to set priorities in an environment with competing/changing demands
  • Must be able to implement plans quickly with minimal guidance
  • Must be able to work independently on multiple tasks which are high priority
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack
