Hunter Communications is searching for an experienced Network Project Manager. This position is responsible for project management relating to POP/cabinet and data center upgrades or replacements of network routing, switching, environmental, and power systems. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, they will ensure the successful creation and adherence to approved project plans, budgets, and schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead network development, upgrade, and replacement projects in collaboration with the Network Operations team.
  • Work with the VP of Network Operations to develop project costs and monitor projects to ensure they are completed within budget, creating the processes and behaviors required.
  • Manage all network project activity, ensuring projects are effectively completed on time, on budget, and within technical specifications required.
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, facilitate resolution of any issues.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of specific project details.
  • Create reporting processes, collect project data, and report on project statuses to executive management team.
  • Facilitating operational functions of team to ensure efficiency.
  • Facilitate the procurement of equipment and materials specific to projects.
  • Other duties, tasks, and projects as needed / requested

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development with some experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated successful experience managing complex projects, involving project management, planning, costing, and supervising teams.
  • In-depth understanding of programming practices, development timelines, scoping.
  • Ability to solve management, technical, installation, scheduling, personnel, and other issues is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management style reflective of solid values, effective employee motivation strategies, inclusiveness, collaboration, and the ability to build consensus at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain strong partnerships at all levels within the company and industry.
