- Project Overview
MSi requires the development of classroom-ready lessons. These lessons will supplement existing chapter content and will be provided as an optional resource for teachers. Each lesson should be designed to align with educational standards while providing an interactive and engaging learning experience. Upon completion of these lessons, students will be able to upload their work to the instructor to be graded utilizing a grading rubric
- Scope of Work
The contractor shall develop one lesson for each chapter. Each lesson must include the following components, delivered as separate, clearly labeled files:
Start File (If Applicable):
If the lesson requires a digital starting point (e.g., a pre-populated spreadsheet, a partially completed document, a presentation template), the contractor will provide this start file.
The file should be compatible with commonly used software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe products).
The file should be clearly named and organized.
Handouts or Forms for Students (If Applicable):
The contractor will provide any necessary handouts, worksheets, or forms for students to use during the lesson.
These materials should be designed for clarity and ease of use.
Files should be provided in both editable (e.g., .docx) and non-editable (e.g., .pdf) formats.
Instructions for Teachers:
The contractor will provide detailed step-by-step instructions for teachers on how to conduct the lesson.
Instructions should include:
Learning objectives
Materials required (including any not provided)
Time allocation for each activity (minimum weeklong activity for a standard school week)
Procedures for each stage of the lesson (e.g., introduction, activities, discussion, wrap-up)
Differentiation strategies for diverse learners (e.g., modifications for students with disabilities, enrichment activities for advanced learners)
Assessment methods (formative and/or summative)
Technology integration (if applicable)
Instructions should be written in clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language.
Graphics (If Applicable):
Description of any visual elements needed for the lesson
Specifications for graphics including purpose, style, and placement
Placeholder text describing required images if contractor is not creating graphics
Attribution information for any third-party visual elements
Answer File/Key:
The contractor will provide a complete answer key for any activities, worksheets, or assessments included in the lesson.
The answer key should be accurate and clearly organized.
Grading Rubric:
The contractor will provide a detailed grading rubric for any assessable components of the lesson.
The rubric should include:
Specific criteria for evaluation
Clear descriptions of performance levels (e.g., exceeds expectations, meets expectations, needs improvement)
Point values or weighting for each criterion
The rubric should be designed to ensure fair and consistent grading.
- Lesson Specifications
Content Alignment: All lesson content must be aligned with the relevant chapter content. The contractor must specify which chapter the lesson aligns with.
Learning Objectives: Each lesson must have clearly defined and measurable learning objectives.
Engagement: Lessons should be designed to actively engage students and promote participation.
Accessibility: Lesson materials should be accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
Technology: If the lesson requires technology, specify the type of technology.
File Format and Delivery: All lesson materials must be submitted in digital format. Acceptable file formats include: .docx, .pdf, .xlsx, .pptx. All files should be organized in a clear folder structure (e.g., by chapter).
Optional Integration: The lessons are designed to be an optional item in the grade book.
