Parish and School Development Manager

St. Fabian is looking to expand the advancement and development team for our expanding school. We are recruiting an applicant interested in managing the fundraising aspect of the Parish and School ministries at Saint Fabian.

The Development Manager works closely with the school administration, parish staff, and volunteers and is considered a key member of the parish staff, reporting to the principal and pastor.

The Development Manager serves alongside an Advancement Director and an established and talented staff who support each other in ensuring St. Fabian achieves its mission

Development
  • Working in concert with parish staff to coordinate all school and parish fundraising efforts
  • Support to create and establish digital, social, and print media to promote events and mission as necessary
  • Work closely with the parish and school administrative teams, Finance Council, and Buildings and Ground Committee to ensure a long-term vision is pursued
  • Plays a supportive part in engaging key volunteers (PTG, SAC, CYO, Dad's Club, etc.) to promote the mission in their respective roles
  • Ensuring donors are acknowledged appropriately
  • Building a database for keeping alumni connected to the community
  • Continue the cadence of three annual fundraisers in the parish and school community
Communications
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining professional writing and design standards for school and parish communications
  • Print/online publications, including school newsletter, marketing materials, giving program brochures, and direct mail pieces
  • Electronic communications, including website, social media, and email
  • Media relations, including advertising and press releases in local newspapers and local media coverage of school events
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and three to five years of executive-level advancement experience in major gifts, auctions, campaigns and planned giving
  • Strong managerial, leadership and supervisory skills
  • Highly self-directed with an attention to detail and ability to organize effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Understanding and competency in constituent software
  • A strong commitment to and understanding of donor recognition and stewardship
