Position Summary:
Springbrook seeks an enthusiastic Development Database Administrator to join our dedicated team to help our fundraising and communication efforts to the next level. The Development Database Administrator is responsible for managing the Springbrook Foundation's fundraising database and helping the organization communicate with targeted audiences. This highly analytical and motivated individual serves in a leadership role within database administration at a time when the Development Department is upgrading its CRM database to a new platform and reorganizing several auxiliary programs (e.g. donation processing, wealth screening, and email marketing platform).
Springbrook's development team maintains a hybrid schedule, working both in the office and in a remote setting. Therefore, the candidate must have the at-home infrastructure to function in a remote environment but also have the ability to report regularly to the office. The candidate must live in Springbrook's 14-county service region.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the donor database to ensure the highest level of integrity and security of information.

- Maintain up-to-date, confidential donor records, including strategies, impact reports, and communication histories.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database procedures and protocols.
- Record and track donor pledges in Virtuous and maintain all pledge files.
- Assist with the processing of more complex gifts like stock gifts, gifts-in-kind, and planned gifts.
- Train and support Development staff in effective database use and data entry standards.
- Supports the Executive, Development, Grant, Marketing and Finance departments by creating queries and reports, both customized and standard, to analyze performance of various campaigns. Run reports on consistent basis to meet needs of the organization.
- Communicate with the Finance Department to ensure accurate processing of gifts and to ensure financial integrity.
- Coordinate bi-weekly payroll deductions with Payroll Supervisor and reconcile for posting in Virtuous.
- Conduct in-depth research on individuals, foundations, and corporations to assess giving capacity, philanthropic interests, and alignment with Foundation priorities.
- Prepare well-written donor profiles, briefings, and bios to support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
- Support the Director of Grants
- Create process for collecting and logging prospect and donor news, communication and information into Virtuous records.
- Follows giving trends and shares pertinent information with staff and volunteers.
- Participate in prospect review meetings and assist in portfolio management.
- Stay current on research tools, trends, and industry best practices.
- Work with the Director of Giving to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with donors as various recognition levels.
- Maintain stewardship efforts in Virtuous: track information, monitor activity and produce reports.
- Support special projects and Foundation initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3 years' experience in a similar work environment preferred.
- Experience with data analysis and generating reports to support strategic decision-making preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Virtuous) and software such as Microsoft Office, and prospect research software like Donor Search, Donor Perfect, and LexisNexis preferred.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary

- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
- The ideal candidate will have experience using donor database software (ie: Virtuous).
- Qualified applicants must also possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently in order to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Stay current with all practices related to database management and the Virtuous system.
- Relate and communicate with donors, families, and staff of Springbrook.
- Proficiency with fundamental math and data analysis to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Qualified applicants must have Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently in order to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
