Summary:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the corporate alliance outreach and acquisition efforts of Akron Children's Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the corporate alliance outreach and acquisition efforts of Akron Children's Hospital.
- Manages the process of creating ongoing relationships with corporate partner prospects/donors and solicits gifts.
- Strategizes outreach tactics, conducting outreach to potential corporate partners, and negotiating campaign alignments.
- Serves as the liaison between the Foundation and advisory committees.
- Coordinates and stewards larger third-party, independent fundraising projects held by corporations and individuals.
- Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales is required.
- Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser's Edge software is preferred.
Education and Experience
- Education: Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is preferred.
- Certification: None.
- Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising: None.
