POAH is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Development Associate to join our Boston-based Real Estate Development team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the action, supporting Project Managers on a variety of exciting real estate development projects. You'll be involved in every phase of project execution, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the real estate development process.

Key Responsibilities - Project Support: Assist Project Managers in gathering and tracking materials for financing applications and proposals, and organize the submission process to ensure deadlines are met.
- Due Diligence: Assemble and manage the due diligence required for construction and permanent loan conversions, including essential documents like organizational records, board resolutions, insurance certificates, and more.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the company database to ensure accurate and timely internal reporting.
- Vendor Coordination: Solicit and track responses from third-party vendors and assist in the creation of contracts.
- Presentation Preparation: Prepare compelling presentation materials for meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Coordination: Schedule team meetings, track team expenses, and manage reimbursements to keep the team running smoothly.
- Additional Support: Take on other development project-related tasks as requested by team members, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
QualificationsExperience & Knowledge - Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, business, mathematics, urban planning, or a related field.
- Experience: Real estate development experience is preferred but not required-training will be provided.
Skills - Strong teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing, with a wide range of partners including financial, legal, regulatory, design/construction professionals, and property residents.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data tracking in Excel or similar platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
