Job Description:
The Development Associate plays a key supporting role within the major gifts team. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Development, the DA ensures the smooth functioning of team operations and donor engagement strategies.
This position is responsible for a range of development and administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, preparing donor correspondence, drafting and editing proposals and stewardship materials, and processing gift transmittals. The DA also conducts basic prospect research to support pipeline development and manages donor records and lists in the CRM system.
The Development Associate coordinates logistics for advisory council meetings and liaises with volunteer leaders. They assist with planning and execution of stewardship and fundraising events. Additionally, the DA provides general office management for the VP&S development suite, ensuring supply levels and maintenance issues are addressed in collaboration with the operations team.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. It offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure to frontline fundraising and volunteer engagement in an academic medical setting.
