Aspire, a non-profit service partner of Loveland Housing Authority is hiring a Development and Grants Coordinator to support Aspire's fundraising and grant writing efforts. This is an ideal position for an individual who is a motivated self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for securing funding to support Aspire's initiatives.
This is a full-time regular position with benefits, with a hiring range of $50,000 to $60,000.00 per year depending upon experience. As the nonprofit service partner of The Loveland Housing Authority, the mission of Aspire is to provide residents of LHA individualized support that promotes increased well-being, independence, and economic security. Aspire offers targeted programs for youth and families, veterans, and older adults living in LHA properties. In addition to offering specific programs, Aspire builds partnerships with service providers in the community to help all residents of LHA access childcare, transportation, education, employment support, mental health counseling, parenting classes, substance/alcohol abuse treatment, household skill training, financial counseling, and more.
Position Summary:
The Development and Grants Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting Aspire's fundraising and grant writing efforts. This position is ideal for an individual who is a motivated self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys both the administrative and creative aspects of development, and has a passion for securing funding to support Aspire's initiatives. The role combines two key functions: coordinating the development and execution of fundraising strategies, while also writing compelling grant proposals to secure financial support from government, foundation, and corporate funders.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Grant Writing & Fundraising
- Research, identify, and prioritize potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and other philanthropic opportunities.
- Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, ensuring alignment with Aspire's mission, goals, and programmatic needs.
- Develop grant reports and track the status of active grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and deadlines.
- Build and maintain relationships with grant makers, external funding partners, and individuals.
- Lead the development and preparation of annual fundraising plans, donor communications, and stewardship strategies.
- Coordinate with Aspire program staff to gather information needed for grant proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Track and manage grant calendar, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
Development Coordination
- Provide administrative support for development activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and managing event logistics.
- Prepare fundraising materials, such as brochures, presentations, and donor appeals.
- Build and manage donor databases and ensure accurate tracking of donations, pledges, and engagement activities.
- Create content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels to engage donors and the broader community.
- Event planning for fundraising activities such as golf tournament, special events, and donor appreciation events.
- Monitor fundraising progress and provide regular updates to the Executive Director and leadership.

Education and/or Experience Required/Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing, including securing grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling proposals, reports, and other development materials.
- Graphic design skills to produce marketing materials.
- Strong public speaking and engagement skills.
- Experience with fundraising strategies and donor engagement techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and donor management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about the mission of Aspire.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Grant writing and development experience working with nonprofit organizations.
- Familiarity with fundraising best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector.
- Knowledge of the local philanthropic landscape and relationships with regional funders.
Driver's License and Background Check:
Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License with acceptable driving record (no major violations within the past three years) and be insurable through Loveland Housing Authority insurance carriers.
A criminal history and motor vehicle background check is required.
Working Environment:
This position is based in an office environment that may require sitting for extended periods of time, repetitive keyboard motion, reaching, bending, and kneeling. Light physical effort may be required by moving and positioning objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently. Frequently, work will be performed in the field, which may include navigating properties and inclement weather. Work is generally completed during normal office hours but will occasionally include evenings and weekends.
