What will I be doing? You will be supporting the Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) Program Office efforts in providing health-related Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT) services support to deployed Airmen and collocated personnel. The support includes Medical Expeditionary Systems (MEDXS), medical waivers workflow management, Expeditionary Health Data Store (EHDS), medical analytics dashboards, integrated IM/IT testing capability, medical operations; expeditionary deployment operations and installation contingency response; planning; training; and readiness support functions. In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and document software to support MEDXS application requirements, ensuring alignment with operational medicine needs
  • Provide software sustainment and modernization, ensuring applications remain current and functional in enterprise environmentsIntegrate COTS/GOTS solutions
  • Collaborate with system engineers and testers
  • Manage the software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation through product fielding and sustainment, following best practices and Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Software Engineering Life Cycle
  • Create and follow a Software Development Plan (SDP)
  • Other duties as assigned
What experience, training, and education do I need?

You must meet the minimum requirements:
  • Active favorable T1/Public Trust clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in languages and tools relevant to developing DoD-aligned applications in cloud/web environments.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution, or additional years of experience acceptable in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency with tools like Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Scriptrunner preferred
  • Experience in Agile software development, SDLC, and integration with DoD medical systems.
