Job Summary:
Envisionware is a library hardware and software solution provider, offering a comprehensive array of scalable products that allow library staff to better engage with their patrons and the communities they serve. Our products minimize routine tasks and allow library staff to focus on knowledge sharing and community engagement. The EnvisionWare team brings expert knowledge to the products we provide to libraries by engaging librarians, library staff, and our own personal experiences using the EnvisionWare line of products.

We are seeking an experienced developer to be a part of the team that creates and maintains EnvisionWare products.

Job Description:

General Qualifications - EnvisionWare is looking for software engineers that demonstrate:
  • The ability and willingness to work in all aspects of the software development life cycle - design, development, quality assurance, documentation, customer support, etc.
  • Knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in a multitude of software languages and application programming interfaces.
  • A thorough understanding of hardware/software technologies including but not limited to operating systems, computer networking, databases, and web application architecture.
  • Problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
  • Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
  • Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Core Competencies Required
  • Web/UI development experience - developing web applications with Angular, Typescript HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in a wide range of software languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C , C , Objective C, and Bash scripting.
  • Thorough understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
  • Automated test framework experience with Selenium, Test Café, Cypress, and/or Serenity
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
