JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE

Responsible for the intersection of software development and IT operations, streamlining workflows, implementing automation, and deploying and managing infrastructure. This role requires expertise in DevOps methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and a strong understanding of software development processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and maintain infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment.
• Administer and support version control systems (e.g., Git) to enable efficient code management.
• Write scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and scaling.
• Create and manage development, staging, and production environments.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Implement security best practices for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth development and deployment processes.
• Provide technical support to resolve deployment and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for deployment processes, infrastructure configurations, and best practices.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + KEY TRAITS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (relevant certifications preferred).
• Proven experience (3+ years) in DevOps, infrastructure management, or related roles.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Security and compliance expertise in a DevSecOps environment is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
