Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Onsite 5 days a week Zionsville, IN
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide first-level technical support to our internal clients/customers, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring their technology runs smoothly. You will be the face of our technical support team, delivering excellent customer service and technical solutions in our "pit box" and serve as a walk-up option for all onsite employees who are experiencing any technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to clients in-person in our onsite support center.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other devices.
- Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of computer systems and software.
- Assist clients with network connectivity issues and troubleshoot basic network problems.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Educate clients on best practices for using their technology and provide guidance on preventative measures.
- Collaborate with Tier Two support and other team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements to provide informed support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or a combination of professional experience and certs equivalent
- 1-3 years of professional experience is ideal
- Proven experience in a desktop support or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with common software applications and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Compensation:
$20/hr to $27/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
