We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day computer troubleshooting, break/fix support, and setting up new hires. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively with end-users.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform break/fix tasks to ensure minimal downtime for end-users.
  • Set up and configure new hire workstations, including hardware, software, and network access.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with common software applications and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • May require lifting and moving IT equipment.
