Who We Want

The Desktop Support Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the daily operations and support of the company's IT infrastructure. This position provides front-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues. The Desktop Support Specialist ensures reliable system access and resolves technical problems efficiently to keep business operations running smoothly.

What To Expect
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for IT support requests, responding to user inquiries via help desk systems, phone, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops (virtual and physical), laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Serve as a support technician for Mac users, overseeing onboarding, configuration, and issue resolution for macOS and iOS devices.
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize JAMF Pro for managing macOS devices across the enterprise
  • Develop and deploy configuration profiles, policies, and packages to automate Mac device setup and compliance
  • Ensure proper Mac patch management, software distribution, and OS updates using JAMF
  • Integrate JAMF Pro with enterprise tools (e.g., Microsoft Entra, Apple Business Manager)
  • Monitor and manage company Apple device inventory, licensing, and asset lifecycle
  • Migrate user data and applications for newly acquired offices, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process, including provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts and devices.
  • Conduct IT orientation for new hires, providing training on company systems and devices.
  • Deploy and maintain desktop/laptop images, software updates, and security patches.
  • Administer and support mobile devices and mobile device management tools.
  • Manage user access permissions, directory groups, and assist in backup procedures and data protection strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, user guides, and inventory records.
  • Participate in IT-related projects and perform other tasks as assigned.
What You Need
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, macOS, iOS, and experience in VDI environments (preferably VMware Horizon).
  • Knowledge of Zero Touch Deployment and automated provisioning
  • Prior experience with JAMF Pro administration
  • Experience integrating Apple devices into hybrid or cloud environments
  • Familiarity with desktop imaging, group policy administration, and automated software deployment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and Cisco VPN troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network fundamentals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCSA are highly desirable.

The total rewards expected for this role include:
  • Starting annual base salary between $60,000 - $76,850.
  • Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)
