About the Company - Our prestigious Investment Banking Client is seeking a talented Desktop Support Specialist to enhance their team. In this role, you will provide vital support for the desktop environment in multiple offices, ensuring smooth operations and user satisfaction.
About the Role - You will assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripherals, and software in accordance with established standards and guidelines. Working closely with vendor support, you'll resolve technical issues related to desktop computing and ensure seamless interconnectivity with various systems including file servers, email servers, application servers, and more. You will document incidents and solutions in a proprietary ticketing system, escalate issues as needed, assist with connecting conference calls (including video conferencing), and troubleshoot mobile devices. This role requires supporting multiple regional offices and may involve participation in an on-call schedule and overtime when necessary.
Responsibilities - Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of desktop computers, peripheral devices, and software within company standards.
- Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve technical problems effectively.
- Ensure seamless connectivity of desktop computers with file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.
- Document incidents and solutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate specific issues to the appropriate resources when necessary.
- Support conference calls and video conferencing setups.
- Configure and troubleshoot mobile devices as required.
- Provide support across multiple regional offices.
- Participate in on-call scheduling, and be available for additional hours if needed.
Qualifications - Experience in an IT environment with a focus on user training and support.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office environments.
- Proficient in network troubleshooting (DHCP, Connectivity, DNS, etc.).
- Understanding of Active Directory operations, such as drive mapping, account unlocking, and network printer management.
- Knowledge of Intune, WebEx, Teams, Zoom, and Citrix.
- Experience with iOS and MacOS is advantageous.
