Job Summary:

The Clients Agency - IT seeks a qualified Desktop Support Technician to assist with a multi-phase relocation project involving approximately 1,000 staff across various locations. The technician will play a crucial role in the setup, reimaging, relocation, and support of end-user equipment, network configurations, and IT systems during a major operational transition.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Secure Printing Configuration
  • Configure secure print features for all printers/copiers
  • Conduct staff training and create manuals
  • Provide ongoing support for print security
2. Wireless Access Design and Testing
  • Assist network team with wireless design and placement of WAPs
  • Conduct testing to ensure performance and coverage
3. Monitor and Docking Station Management
  • Relocate and install 2,000 monitors and 1,000 docking stations
  • Implement cable management at workstations
4. Endpoint Management Systems Update
  • Update Active Directory, SCCM, and VLAN configurations
  • Maintain and verify updated system documentation
5. Conference Room Equipment Installation
  • Install AV, telephony, and conferencing hardware/software
  • Provide training and documentation for IT and users
6. Program-Specific Hardware Setup
  • Install and test lobby kiosks, EBT printers, and sound systems
  • Document setup and train relevant personnel
7. Decommissioning and Inventory Management
  • Inventory, decommission, and coordinate hardware relocation
8. Laptop Reimaging and User Assistance
  • Reimage 500+ laptops with updated software/security
  • Provide user support during equipment refresh
9. Project Management & Communication
  • Support project planning and timeline execution
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders
  • Assist in identifying risks and mitigation strategies
MQ1 3 years' experience in Windows PC imaging
Acceptable documentation includes:

• Detailed invoices

• Detailed purchase orders

• Detailed contracts

• Client letter/email
The documentation must confirm the following details: (a) project scope, (b) project cost, (c) project start and end dates, and (d) client name. MQ2 3 years' experience in desktop support - installation of laptops, computer equipment, peripherals, software, and etc
Acceptable documentation includes:

• Detailed invoices

• Detailed purchase orders

• Detailed contracts

• Client letter/email
Nice-to-Have (Desired) Experience:
  • Experience with Active Directory and SCCM
  • Familiarity with network design and VLAN configuration
