The
Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for the local day-to-day needs and support of the OVG Denver office and works with our outsourced Level 1 Help Desk partner in providing remote support for our remote users in other offices and venues. This position will also be asked to periodically participate in technology project planning and execution, as assigned by IT leadership.
This role pays an hourly rate of $31.85-$36.25.

- Provide prompt, thorough, and courteous support to staff, including executive leadership
- Work effectively and cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Respond to support tickets and requests in the ticketing system in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with PC and Apple equipment, including reimaging, hardware replacement, and software (re)installation
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with conference room technology and web conference platforms
- Install, configure, test, and maintain end-user technology equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, peripheral devices, productivity software, etc
- Coordinate with third-party support and equipment vendors, as needed
- Follow and provide constructive feedback on standard operating processes and procedures
- Maintain an accurate and updated asset inventory of computing hardware
- Recommend changes to existing technologies and methods to improve the quality and timeliness of technical support
Qualifications
- An associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent job experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a desktop support role in an enterprise-level environment with both Windows and Mac devices in a Microsoft Office 365 environment
- Experience using the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal, EntraID (Azure AD), and Intune
- Understanding of networking concepts: DHCP, DNS, LAN, WLAN, and cloud computing
- Knowledge and understanding of scripting (PowerShell experience preferred)
- Maintain current knowledge of related technology advancements and trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to read and write in English
- Lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds for short distances while observing safe lifting and carrying practices
- Walk, climb, stand, stoop, bend at the waist, lift and carry sufficiently to perform tasks
- Sit for extended periods with intermittent walking
