Overview: Our Southlake, Texas division, Close the Loop Renewed Solutions, is adding a Desktop Engineer to the team. This role is responsible for leading the deployment and configuration, and maintenance to refurbish and resell devices to consumers. The ideal candidate has expertise in endpoint management tools, scripting, and IT security best practices.

You'll Contribute By:Endpoint Deployment & Management - Deploying, configuring, and maintaining endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other IT assets) across the enterprise.
- Utilizing endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM, Intune, JAMF) for software distribution and policy enforcement.
- Developing and maintaining standard images for operating systems and applications.
- Automating endpoint provisioning using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
User Support & Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot deployment failures, driver compatibility issues, and software conflicts.
- Proactively optimize processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve endpoint reliability.
Security & Compliance - Ensure endpoint security policies are enforced, including encryption, patching, and antivirus solutions.
- Monitor and remediate compliance issues related to endpoint devices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement endpoint protection and threat detection solutions.
Automation & System Integration - Design and develop automation workflows to optimize IT processes.
- Integrating IT systems, applications, and APIs to improve interoperability.
- Developing automated solutions for user provisioning, patch management, and monitoring.
- Working with IT security teams to automate compliance and security enforcement policies.
Collaboration with IT Teams - Work closely with IT, security, and operations teams to enhance endpoint management strategies.
- Document deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Train IT support staff on endpoint management and troubleshooting techniques.
To Be Successful You'll Bring: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, PowerShell Certification) are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a Desktop Systems Engineer or in a similar role,
- The ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the willingness to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
- Advanced proficiency in the following:
- Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
- Microsoft Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
- PowerShell
- Laptop refurbishment
- IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)
- NIST 800-88 data erasure
- Windows Image management
- Driver management
- Microsoft Intune / Autopilot
