Job Number: R Desktop Engineer and Systems Administrator, Lead The Opportunity: Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a system administrator to join our IT team and lead the staff management and the technical delivery of the Enterprise Desktop Engineering team. As a system administrator on our project, you'll be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining desktop computing environments to ensure optimal functionality, security, and user satisfaction. As the Desktop Engineer Lead, you will lead to design, implement, and maintain desktop environments, including hardware, sof tware, and operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux. You will deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring compliance with federal standards and user requirements. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. Join us. The world can't wait. You Have: 4+ years of experience with IT systems support, including Tier I and Tier II customer services, and incident and problem management
Experience managing enterprise applications and services, SCCM, and MECM or MCM, providing configuration and troubleshooting support to DoD365 customers, and deploying, managing, and optimizing VDI solutions
Experience with VDI technologies and solutions, including VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Micro sof t Azure Virtual Desktop
Experience with the management of both physical and virtual workstations, servers, and network resources, including building, configuring, and managing devices in a LAN or WAN topography
Experience with DoD environments, standards, processes, and policies , and the implementation of industry best practices for hardware, sof tware, and system performance and security
Knowledge of Micro sof t Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, group policy management, and certificate services
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and solve complex problems with innovative solutions
TS / SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
DoD 8570 Compliant IAT level II Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with IT project management and various methodologies
Experience with collaboration sof tware, email services, and cloud technologies
Experience using vulnerability and compliance tools, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution ( ACAS ) , Security Content Automation Protocol ( SCAP ) , and Security Technical Implementation Guides ( STIG )
Experience administering Linux or UNIX systems
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, or Bash

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
