Job Duties


• Participate in the functional verification of complex ASIC blocks and/or IP cores in a combined CPU/GPU development environment


• Collaborate closely with a team of design and verification engineers to:

o Understand the functionality of a given design element

o Verify design functionality within the context of the block, chip, and overall system


• Document and execute test plans comprising both directed and constrained-random tests for simulation


• Adopt evolving industry-standard verification methodologies for complex SoC verification under market-driven timelines


• Work within existing verification infrastructure on active projects


• Apply knowledge of hardware modeling and/or assertion-based verification methods


Experience and Skills


7+ years of proven verification experience on large ASIC development projects or software/firmware development in a hardware context


• Strong C/C development background in a Linux environment


• Proficient in:

o Object-oriented programming

o STL (Standard Template Library)

o Computer architecture

o Data structures


• Strong debugging skills with tools such as GDB and Valgrind


• Experience working with:

o Verilog, SystemVerilog, SystemC (preferred)

o C/Verilog environments using DPI/PLI (preferred)


• Familiarity with Perl scripting and Makefile usage


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Additional Requirements


• UVM/SystemVerilog experience


• 5+ years of professional work experience


Background working on complex SoCs


• Strong computer architecture knowledge


• Preferred experience with DRAM/Memory Controller design


Education


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computing (preferred)
