The role

We are looking for a full-time experienced Design Engineer to join our expanding team. They will produce detailed drawings and plans from site survey information and client specifications. A high level of accuracy and organisational skills is required. The candidate will work closely with Senior Designers and Project Engineers in a fast-paced environment to create engineering solutions to suit project requirements and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A strong appreciation for delivering excellent customer service is essential. Essential candidate requirements:

  • SolidWorks experience (or experience with equivalent 3D Design Software)
  • Mechanical engineering background
  • Understanding of manufacture processes and materials
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Mechanical engineering based qualification

Desirable candidate requirements:

  • SolidWorks Training Modules Assembly modelling, Advanced part modelling, Weldments, Sheetmetal
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship
  • Experience of working with bulk materials and handling/process equipment
  • Ability to carry out site measure and surveys
  • Knowledge and familiarity of survey equipment. E.g. 3D Scanning and interpretation of point cloud data
  • Experience of working with manufacture materials, such as: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

Work schedule

  • 41.5 hours per week
  • 8.00am 5.00pm Monday to Thursday
  • 8.00am 4.00pm Friday
