Akkodis is Seeking a Design Engineer as a contractor for the location of Lynn MA. It is a contract Position for 6 months. Ideally Looking for a candidate with experience in Aerospace/Aviation Industry.
Pay Range: $40 - $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duties
Getting ready to ramp up to high volume with there customers.
30 Day Milestones: Use basic tools, look for data in the system, open drawings, CID's
60 Day Milestones: Manipulate info, process studies, ask proper questions
90 Day Milestones: Self-sufficient, understands milestones, work on multiple parts, part to print processes
Others - Takes direction from team leads, 2-3 meetings weekly for task prioritization and work reallocation.
Top 3 must haves to perform the Job:
1. Mechanical Drawing interpretation (CAD package of choice/ prefers NX)
2. GD&T proficiency
3. General manufacturing/ special processing experience (EDM, Milling, Turning, Welding)
Software Knowledge: Cad - NX preferred, Excel/ PPT, Minitab and Python are a plus,
Degree requirements/ Preference: Mechanical, Mechanical Eng. Tech, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace.
Soft Skills: Good communication, willingness to learn
How Much Experience is required? 2-4 yrs
Do they have to have Specific Aerospace Industry Experience? Prefer but not a must have.
Other: 1-5 years of experience, experience can include industrial equipment, automotive, pumps, rotating equipment, bearings - all metals (no plastics)
