Control Panel Design Engineer needed for supporting water and wastewater treatment facility projects. This role will focus on the electrical design and layout of control panels used in automated process systems for municipal and industrial clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics (AutoCAD or equivalent)


  • Create and manage bills of materials (BOMs) and panel documentation


  • Ensure designs comply with UL508A, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards


  • Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and technicians on system requirements and panel integration


  • Provide technical support for panel assembly, testing, and field installation when needed


  • Coordinate with vendors and fabrication shops for component sourcing and build reviews


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of control panel design experience, ideally within the water/wastewater industry


  • Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software


  • Familiar with PLCs, VFDs, relays, and instrumentation integration


  • Strong understanding of UL508A panel standards and NEC compliance


  • Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
