We are seeking for candidates interested in joining our team who can work well in a team environment, help design new and custom products for the U.S. market, support customers, distributors, and internal staff with product technology, evaluate returned products and prepare inspection reports, and coordinate with overseas factories to gather data, manage resources, and follow up on projects.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Participates in engineering, design, and review processes.
  • Manage and Perform Technical Inquiry (TI) flow to design, by creating the drawing and review for USA's customized product. Also, creating the BOM and support operation for production processes in terms of customized product.
  • Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems.
  • Design and support the making of new and daily performance of existing, demo machines. New demos, by making from drawings to manufacture for Marketing, Sales promotional use along with trainings and understanding of product abilities.
  • Manage and perform RMA process with collaboration with sales forces and OM Japan After service team. In addition, for improved customer service purpose, analyze inspection results, and report to involved departments.
  • Communicate with customer to assist in troubleshooting and qualifying conditions of applications.
  • Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
  • Be able to use test equipment such as: Oscilloscope, DMM, signal/pulse generator, frequency meter, or spectrum analyzer.
  • Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as: voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
  • Compare and analyze test results with actual specifications by recording test data and plotting test results on graph.
  • Be able to interpret and inspect Oriental Motor products and provide detailed inspection reports to customer and sales.
  • Have the ability learn how to inspect and repair electronic components.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access and be able to use it to record data and run queries.
  • Experience and knowledge with low-level programming language.
  • Liaison between Oriental Motor USA and Oriental Motor Japan for design, R&D work, and quality issues.
  • Analyze competitor's catalogs and products to determine benefits and functions.
  • Modify, Proof or create CAD drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical or Solidworks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take on supporting work load as necessary.
  • Ordering correct packaging and accessories to repackage returns. Must be able to assemble packaging and inserts to repackage product and maintain OM quality.
  • Order components from Japan and create invoice for customer.
  • Understanding of ISO requirements, especially those relevant to design, development and documentation.
Collateral Duties:
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;
  • 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Access, Word, Excel and others) and AutoCAD or Solidworks;
  • Familiar with operating the electronic products using I/O, PLC, personnel computer and communication profile.
  • Experience working in a production environment a pulse;
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential
  • Strong problem solving, documentation and, communications skills.

Travel Requirements:
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
