About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of a 38-bed residential care home in Derby. The home provides care to adults with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities, with a focus on dementia and end-of-life care. You'll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high standards of care, manage staff, and maintain a supportive and safe environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Home Manager with overall home operations and ensure CQC compliance.
Lead and supervise care staff, providing training, support, and performance reviews.
Oversee care planning, medication management, and provide end-of-life care as needed.
Maintain high standards of care, conduct audits, and prepare for inspections.
Manage day-to-day operations, staff rosters, and contribute to budgeting.
What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Experience in a senior care role (ideally Deputy Manager or Senior Carer)
Strong leadership, hands-on care approach, and knowledge of dementia care
Knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding
Driver with access to a car
