Barton Associates is seeking a skilled General Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Dentistry Clinic in Ohio. This opportunity offers coverage for 10 days, primarily on Thursdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential for additional days and vacation coverage. Starting 06/05/2025, the ideal candidate will perform hygiene checks, basic composite restorations, single crown restorations, and simple extractions. Experience with root canals is beneficial but not required. The dentist will work alongside Dr. Garvey, who will be on-site for the first one or two days to ensure a smooth transition. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Dentist to contribute their expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform hygiene checks and patient examinations
  • Conduct basic composite restorations
  • Complete single crown restorations
  • Carry out simple extractions
  • Provide root canal treatments if experienced (not required)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sterilization protocols
  • Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures
  • Participate in any necessary staff meetings or consultations

Additional Information:

  • Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Ohio
  • Experience in general dentistry required
  • Proficiency in composite restorations and single crown placements essential
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Flexibility to adapt to the clinic's specific protocols and systems
