We are looking for a front office receptionist to work as the patient liasion for the dental office answering the phones, scheduling appointments, inputing and verifying insurance, and billing and filing of insurance. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, friendly communication with the patients and team. The right front office administrator should have dental billing knowledge. A successful front office administrator will know how to use the technology in the office (Eaglesoft, email tools, patient communication systems, lab portals, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties while staying organized and being efficient at staying on task by the end of day. You will be in charge of ensuring the practice flows well during working hours and to help mitigate and change policies where we are showing bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Treating all patients with respect and ensuring proper scheduling of appointments and tracking treatment conversion on a day/day basis.
- Keeping organized and streamlined treatment contact methods to ensure that the office is performing at the maximum capacity.
- Helping to grow the office with innovative ideas for marketing and networking, creating protocols, and developing plans for practice growth.
- Serve as the point person for duties including: scheduling, insurance verification, insurance billing and follow through, statement mailing, supplies, equipment, bill pay
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Provide general support to visitors
- Liase with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services
Skills
- Proven experience in high level customer service
- Knowledge in insurance verification, billing, and claim filing.
- Strong Knowledge in Dental Treatment terminology and reasons for necessary treatment which a streamlined system of tracking dental conversion and productivity.
- A warm, friendly and encouraging phone voice.
- A team player attitude
- Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Familiarity with email scheduling tools
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
