We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. No prior experience is required-just a passion for organization and helping others. In this role, you will assist with verifying insurance coverage, managing claims and pre-authorizations, and being a key point of contact for patients regarding their insurance benefits. Your contributions will play an essential role in ensuring accurate billing and providing a smooth financial experience for our patients.


Schedule: We offer flexible scheduling options with multiple shift choices, including Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday 10-hour shifts, and Tuesday-Friday 10-hour shifts


Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
  • Submit insurance claims and pre-authorizations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve denials or discrepancies
  • Educate patients on their insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the billing team to ensure proper coding and documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient insurance records within the practice management system
  • Respond to patient and insurance inquiries regarding claims and coverage
  • Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with billing-related tasks and support front desk duties as needed
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with insurance terminology, claims processes, and EOBs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dental codes and common insurance plans
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations

The starting salary range for this role is $25-32 per hour based on full-time employment.
