Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienists to join our team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Portland, OR. These are exciting opportunities for two open positions: one as a Float Dental Hygienist serving across 7 dental clinics, and another as a Full-Time Dental Hygienist at the SE Health Center. Both positions are 6-month contracts, offering a rewarding chance to serve diverse communities in an essential healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform professional dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing.
- Assist in the prevention and management of oral diseases and conditions.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, dental care, and disease prevention.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical and dental histories.
- Administer fluoride treatments and sealants.
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
- For the Float Position, travel to various dental clinic locations and provide coverage as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and clinic safety standards.
Position-Specific Details:
- Float Position (Across 7 Clinics):
- Travel between 7 clinic locations across Portland, with a fixed schedule provided 6 months in advance.
- Flexibility to adjust to different clinic environments while providing top-notch care.

- Full-Time Position (SE Health Center):
- Work exclusively at the SE Health Center, offering consistent care to a dedicated patient base.

Qualifications:
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure in Oregon.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Excellent clinical skills with experience in scaling, root planing, and radiographs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and comfort patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting preferred.
- For the Float Position, a reliable mode of transportation and willingness to travel between clinics.
